1. How do I book?
The preferred method for receiving bookings and enquiries is from our online enquiry form, which can be found at http://www.RascalsCastles.co.uk/contact.htm , alternatively you can telephone us on 08719198103, you can email us or you can fax us on 07092084462.

2. How much notice do I need to give for a booking?
You can book anytime however we get very busy over the summer period so please book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. We welcome last minute bookings.

3. How much does it cost to hire your inflatable equipment?
Please see the
bouncy castle page for all prices, prices may vary depending on your intended use i.e. back garden / charity or distance from Southampton, Hampshire.

4. What's included in the price?
All bouncy castle booking prices include local delivery, you may charged a small fee for deliveries more than 5 miles away from Southampton, but this will be included in the price you are quoted via email, so there are no hidden surprises! (please
contact us for delivery rates). You will also receive a blower, extension cable, circuit breaker and safety crash mats, the price also includes set up, inflation and packing away on collection. Most of our Bouncy Castles come with sun / rain showers too!
We may charge a little extra for public events, but this will be explained at time of booking.

5. When are your bouncy castles available?
Our castles are available 7 days a week all year round including Bank Holidays, Christmas & Easter etc.

6. How long do I get the equipment for?
We deliver the equipment before the event starts and then collect at the end of the event.
Prices quoted on our website are based on a party length of approximately four hours, but we obviously cant pickup and drop off all of our bouncy castles at the same time, so we may need to drop off your bouncy castle a few hours before the event starts and then pickup a few hours after the event finishes, but this will be explained at time of booking and will not affect indoor hires.

7. What do we need to do to the garden before the inflatable arrives?
Please clear the driveway / side passage so that we can get clear access to the garden. Please make sure the grass is not too long and that it is clear of any sharp objects and animal poo.

We can not setup on dry/dusty/wet mud, stones or poo - please make sure the garden is clean and tidy before we arrive!

8. Do you hire overnight?
Under certain circumstance this can be arranged, but there will be a small charge for this, please
contact us for more info.

9. Do I have to pay a deposit?
No deposit is required.

10. How do I pay?

We Accept All Major Credit Cards!

11. What if I need to cancel?
You can cancel at anytime, all we ask is that you give us at least 48 hours notice, if less than this is given you may incur a cancellation fee.

12. What if it rains?
Unfortunately Bouncy Castles cannot be operated in wet or windy conditions due to safety reasons, please see our
Southampton Weather page. Rascals Castles reserve the right to cancel any booking for any reason at any time with out prior warning.

13. Can the bouncy castle be set up on a steep slope?
No, this is not possible however if it is a very, very slight slope it may be ok, you will need to discuss this with us prior to making the booking.

14. How long does it take to set up/inflate/deflate/pack up the inflatable?
The bouncy castles take approx 20 minutes to set up and 30 minutes to pack up. However this is only an estimate, times may vary depending on which castle you hire, for example an Adult Bouncy Castle takes longer to pack away than a Childrens Bouncy Castle, and a Bouncy Castle used outdoors takes longer to pack away than a Bouncy Castle used Indoors.

15. How much space is needed for the equipment?
You will need to allow a minimum of 5 feet at the front and rear of castle and 2 feet either side. This is to allow access and the blower at rear. For example, a 15ft by 15ft inflatable would require a minimum clear space of 20ft by 17ft.
Please ensure all garden items such as garden toys, swings, slides, dog mess, patio furniture, rubbish etc. are removed from the area where the castle is to be sited, also there should be no over hanging trees are bushes.
PLEASE NOTE: It is your responsibility to ensure that there is enough space for us to unload and inflate our equipment in your chosen location. If we arrive and find that there is not enough space you will be required to pay the full price.

Please note that these guidelines should be followed by all good bouncy castle operators, not just Rascals Castles.

16. When I hire the castle is there anything I need to provide?
You will need to provide a standard house hold plug socket (240v), also you will need to provide 2 forms of I.D. i.e. Drivers Licence, Utility Bill etc. this forms part of the hire agreement. We supply all the hardware you will need for the castle.

17. Is there any preparation work required before the equipment arrives ?
Please make sure that any hallways, side passages, or any other access to your garden/venue are clear of obstacles etc. We require a minimum 3 foot width access depending on the size of the unit hired. Ensure that the area where you plan to use the bouncy castle is clear of any sharp objects, leaves, excessive mud and dog mess. We will need access to an electricity power point within 25m. If our delivery driver is caused to wait while you prepare the site, you will be charged  for this time. If the site is unsuitable we reserve the right to cancel the booking.

18. Do you supply safety instructions?
Yes we provide detailed safety instructions with every hire, we can also provide risk assessments, operating procedures, a method statement and risk assessment upon request.

19. How do you secure your inflatable's to the ground?
For mud surfaces we use 18 inch ribbed ground steaks, for hard surfaces we use sand bags.   

20. Is there an age limit for children using the castle?
Yes, the age limits are as follows:
Moonwalk Style "Disco Dome" - 11
Standard Children's Bouncy Castles - 11
Small Toddler Bouncy Castle - 6
Gladiator Duel / Joust - No Age Limit
Adult Bouncy Castle: No Age Limit
Sumo Suits - Minimum: 7, Maximum: None

21. Is there anything we should know about Popular Pig Hire?
Yes,

  • Our pig Mascot / Costume is NOT Peppa pig, its Pepper Pig a Peppa Pig look a like.
  • Pepper will need somewhere to get changed (bathroom etc).
  • Pepper will need a adult (from your party) to accompany her at all times to guide her around.
  • Please ensure all children are kind and gentle towards popular pig, especially the older ones.
  • Please plan what you want pepper to do before she arrives, i.e pass the parcel, musical statues etc.
  • It is your responsibility to keep and eye on the time to ensure your Pepper visit does no run over, you may be charged extra if you do not tell Pepper when the time is up.

22. What if the equipment gets dirty while in use?
All equipment MUST be returned in a clean state, this means you MUST wipe down any dirty marks before the delivery driver arrives to collect the equipment, failure to comply may mean you will need to pay a cleaning charge.

23. Do you have Public Liability Insurance?
Yes, we have 5 million pounds of public liability cover, certificate can be seen on request.

24. Can you provide a bouncy castle for our public event?
We can provide bouncy castles and inflatable's for your public, corporate, shopping centre, fete, fun day, gala, pub garden, street party or any event!

The proposed operating site for the equipment must be clear of any obstacles that may prove to be a hazard for the safe operation of the equipment and clear of any underground services (gas/electricity /water). Rascals Castles cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to underground services by the erection of any supplied equipment
